Halloween 2011

What a sweet tradition this has become!  I think this is our 5th Halloween going over to the Patricio's for trick or treating.  Garrett and Ashley were so sweet to host again.  Thank you G&A!!!

Here are our S'mores costumes we made...
(Thanks to my sister Christy for finding our inspiration for our costume!!)
Blake and I love doing the family costume theme, but I am pretty sure this is our final year of choosing what we want.  Our little Ariel, was quite opinionated about not wanting to be chocolate.  She told us she "liked to EAT chocolate, NOT wear it!"  HA!
Our fun group shot...
 Our favorite Super Heroes!
Lightning McQueen and his Pit Crew...they won for the best costumes!  Go Donnelly's!  If you look close, one of Lightning's sponsors is Wawona.  HA!!  Love it!!
We love Mustard and Ketchup, but oh, that hot dog...I could just eat him up.  So cute!
After a delicious dinner, we were all off for some trick or treating.
We thought our little wagon was a good idea, however our little marshmallow sat good like this for maybe one house.  HA!  The rest of the time he was happy in our arms.  Oh well, we got a cute family picture, so it is all worth it.  :)
Another successful, fun Halloween night!!  But, don't think I am done quite yet with Halloween 2011, I still have some more fun pictures coming soon...

I would love to know what you used for your graham crackers...

I hope you get this message! For the graham crackers, we went to a craft store (like Joann's or Michaels) and bought a big roll of foam/sponge cushion. We cut a hole for our heads. For the little holes we used brackets like from Office Depot or somewhere like that. We used the kind you push in and they separate to hold into place. I believe they were gold or silver in color. The foam we bought was originally green, so we then spray painted all of the foam a brown, graham cracker color. We then used brown yarn and stitched lines.
My sweet Mother In Law sewed the Hershey costume for us. She ironed on the letters. And the marshmallow i think was some kind of batting from the craft store and my mother in law added some white fabric to complete the look! Good luck!!! It was a little time consuming, but worth it for this sweet memory!

My wife and I love this family costume idea! What did you do to spray paint the foam or did you use a special foam friendly spray paint?

Anyway you’d be willing to let us borrow the Hershey bar costume? I’d be willing to pay for shipping back and forth?
