Go DOGS!!

We LOVE cheering on our Fresno State Bulldogs!
Here we are with the Visser's and Patricio's at Korrin's (Jessica's sis) volleyball game.
And then of course the football games!! Aubrey Rose is quite the football fan, however the fireworks she "no likes them." :) Here we are with Blake's cousin, Katie and her hubby Rob.
We also got to see Auntie Blair and her boyfriend Jordan Penner. Yeah, did you catch that?! :) I LOVE his last name. (My maiden name! HA!)
Go DOGS go!!

My new nephew :)

What a day!! Yesterday was one of the best days! My brother and Allie became a Daddy and a Mommy. Blake and I became an Uncle and an Auntie!!! And Aubrey Rose finally has a cousin!! Such a wonderful day!

Here are Jesse and Allie a couple of weeks ago...
I love this picture of Allie!

Allie was put on bed rest a couple of months ago, then for the last 3 weeks she has been waiting the arrival of her little one on bed rest at the hospital. What a journey. Fast forward to yesterday morning...I woke up to a text from Jesse saying they had a good night, Allie had some contractions, but nurses had not deemed her to be in active labor. An hour later, another text saying doctor broke her water and she was already dilated to a 6! Four hours later they became a mommy and daddy!!!!

It's a BOY!!!! Jedidiah Jesse born at 12:16pm on November 17, 2010
6 pounds, 11 ounces and 19 inches long!

He was born at 36 weeks! I can't imagine how big he would have been had he stayed in all 40 weeks!! He is absolutely perfect.

Here is my proud brother with his new son!

Lovely home maintenance

Just because I know you would have sympathy for us, we have to show you the latest. We have a leak in our roof. It is in our attic. After having multiple roofers come check it out, we finally found a roofer who gave us a BIG answer. He went in the attic. He said he saw sunlight coming through. He poked a stick in the area and it came out the other side!! We went outside to see where it was. Right in the middle! It wasn't along the siding or where roofs typically have water problems, but right smack in the middle. Don't you just love it when the experts tell you...."I have NEVER, EVER seen this before."
Here is the stick our roofers poked through so we could see where the leak was coming from.

Little update

We have been busy around this household! A good busy, but still busy. And with the holidays coming upon us, we don't really see the end in sight yet. However, the best is yet to come! The end of the year is some of my favorite times all year!

I will update more on these later, but here are just a couple of pictures to help keep you patient. Hopefully, you are a patient person. :) Not sure when I will be able to get to it all, but I will!
We had a wonderful shower at my house for my sis-in-law, Allie! LOVE HER!! It was so fun to throw a shower for her and her new baby arriving who knows when...maybe even this week!! Can't wait!!! I will finally be an Auntie!! I had a dream last night that she had a girl! Can't wait to find out!

Then, last week we learned about the Letter H! Christopher and Aubrey Rose got to hang out with Aunt Blair and her HORSES! They fed them HAY and even got to ride the Mia! They were absolutely adorable and wanted to wear their HAT everywhere! So cute! Auntie Blair is the best!

Call me crazy, but we are already decorating for Christmas over here. We had a free weekend, so we took advantage of it, since our next couple are filling up fast. Blake has been so sweet to go along with my early decorating craziness, however I might have taken it a bit far. :) I purposely left the Christmas lights on in a room we had already finished decorating. You know...to get in the spirit and to enjoy our beautiful work. Well, he thought we needed to wait until after Thanksgiving for that! HA!! I love him! Here is just a sneak peek. Once I get everything done, maybe I will do a little post on more details.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Her prayer

Blake, Aubrey Rose and I went out for lunch today. We asked Aubrey if she wanted to pray, which she said yes. This actually made me soooooooooo giddy inside because she used to pray out loud for us all the time, (and I think there is not much that is sweeter than hearing a little ones prayers) but it has been a couple of months since Aubrey Rose has prayed out loud. We ask her all the time if she wants to pray, we try to encourage her to pray, yet in the end she always asks daddy or mommy to pray. So we don't push it. We just continue to plant the seeds. I wish I had gotten her prayers on video from a couple of months ago. It was the sweetest thing. She said the same prayer every time. These little ones are like sponges! Daddy told her one time, that our prayers do not have to be long, elaborate prayers, but just prayers from our heart. He told her she could just say, "Dear Jesus, I love you. Amen." So that is what she prayed every night, every meal or anytime we asked her if she wanted to pray. However, it has been months since I heard her sweet voice say a sweet prayer to our Lord.
Until today...at lunch...she said yes, folded her hands, closed her eyes, brought her hands in front of her face, and said..."Pink, green, color...Dear Father, thank you. Amen." HA!!! I melted right there at the table! See...planting seeds, one seed at a time. :)

Letter G continued...

Throughout the day we threw away GARBAGE. You know, teaching responsibility! :)
Then, we invited the GRANDMA'S over for lunch and to do a craft with them.
Mimi came a little earlier in the morning to give kisses and hugs to her little grandbaby...and they had a couple of Grapes. :)
We were so thankful she was able to come for some of the day. We LOVE Mimi!
Our table setting filled with GREEN and GOLD! Gift for Grandma's
The gift...gardening with Grandma! A pot, pods of dirt and seeds Our yummy goodness...Grilled Cheese, Grapes and Green salad with Gala Apples and Garbanzo beans. :)
Myself, Aubrey Rose and Oma
Christopher's grandmas
Time to Garden with Grandma! (or Oma) :)Add a little water to the dirt... Or a lot of water... :) OOPS!! Plant your seeds and wait patiently for your Garden to Grow!
At the end of the day...time to take out the GARBAGE!I am not kidding when I say this...this "taking out the garbage" task could possibly be the easiest and most willing these two have been. I didn't even know Aubrey Rose knew where the big trash bins were, let alone lead Christopher to them! HA!
They LOVED this!
And then, they took the bins all the way out to the street. Can we say new chore???!!! Oh yeah!
With a little help from mommy...
and Oma!

Such a fun day! The Grandma's LOVED it, Mommy's were tired, but so happy and of course the kiddos learned and had a wonderful nap after. :) I love these Cousin Letter Days! Always a win, win!

Letter G

Letter G day was GREAT! We learned about grass, golf, gardening, green, gold, God, glitter, garbage, and GRANDMAS! For lunch we enjoyed Grilled Cheese sandwiches, Grapes and Green Salad (with Gala Apples and Garbanzo beans).
We started the morning with making a GIFT for GRANDMA.

Our colors for the day...GREEN and GOLD!

We definitely used GLITTER!
Even used our hands to give the glitter a great look.
We took it up a notch and used hot GLUE...
to make more GLITTER.
This was a hit for sure!
Might not look like much, but they were definitely proud and the grandmas LOVED their gift box!
Then, a little outdoors fun. Cute, little feet feeling the GRASS...
and playing GOLF.
Going to the LONG drive. LOVE it Christopher!
Much more to come tomorrow!! We invited the GRANDMAS!!
