How fun!!

Aubrey Rose has a couple of fun things going on!
Our family recently had a little snow day at China Peak and Aubrey Rose got a picture of herself on their website!  So fun!!  This is the picture on their website.

And then in this month's Fresno Magazine, Aubrey Rose and Auntie Blair got a picture printed in it of themselves!  It was from their Bridal Show they were in.  I blogged about it a couple of weeks ago.  So fun!!

Austin's party

We had a wonderful time celebrating our little ONE year old.
We had Austin's party at Blakes' grandpa's house.  I had so much fun planning this party.  I got some of my inspiration from my Pinterest "party ideas" page.

All the details turned out so fun.  I wanted to use some of the party details to decorate his bedroom walls too.  I started with a letter A and wrapping it with yarn.
For the blue frames, my inspiration came from Pinterest too.  My sweet sister in law helped me paint the wood so perfectly with a distressed look.  And now the 3 frames and the letter A are decorating his room.  Win-win!!  I love them!  Thanks Allie!!
I also made the birthday banners using the Cricut with paper and also burlap.
Smittcamp side of the family
Penner side of the family
Another Penner family picture with some special Canadian family members!  :)  Miss you Em and Luke!!
A few more fun moments from the party...
I loved this moment.
And this one.
And especially this.  Austin had no desire to even touch the cake, however when we gave him utensils he got after it in a big and MESSY way.  Loved it!
Whew!!!  It is tough work being ONE!  :)

Valentine's Day

We are backtracking a little bit, but I don't want to miss some fun pictures.  These are some of our sweet memories from Valentine's Day.
Oma (my mom) invited us over to decorate a heart shaped cake.  It was a tradition we did growing up and now she is continuing it with our little ones.  So fun!  Thanks Mom!

On Valentines night, we decided to switch it up a little and not do the typical Valentine, romantic dinner, just the two of us.  Instead we decided to make new memories as a family with dear friends.  I am sure this is going to be a new tradition because it was such a great night!  We went to Skywalk, then dinner at Red Robin and a little ice cream.  So fun!

Mimi (Blake's mom) made all these shirts for us!  Linda and I have started a new business called My Sweet Threads!  (More about this later!)
The kids LOVED Skywalk!  It is a room FULL of trampolines.  Perfect!
We did have 2 hurt ankles in the process.  So sad!  Everybody is walking just fine now though.  :)
And a little ice cream treat to complete the night.  Where is Jett?  We are missing one!
Austin stealing a bite.  Surprise, surprise he kept wanting more. :)
The whole group being silly.  LOVED our Valentine's night!  Let me know if you want to go next year!   I am sure we will be repeating!  :)

Whew!

Whew!!!  We made it.  That is all I can say.
In our home, the holidays don't seem to slow down until the middle of March.  :)  Between family coming from Canada, Blake's big work convention, lots of backyard renovations, more sweet family coming from Canada, Austin's birthday, ski trip to Park City, a surprise trip to Disneyland, and this past weekend we celebrated Aubrey Rose's birthday....we can finally breathe.  Whew!  I have so much to update on!  One by one, I will get back to all this fun.

Aubrey Rose turns FOUR!

Our little girl turned FOUR yesterday!  We had such a fun day celebrating together.  It feels like just yesterday I took this picture of her and she had just turned three.  Where has another year gone?
Aubrey Rose, this past year you became a big sister.  You absolutely LOVE this role.  You love helping your brother.  You love making him laugh.  I can't think of one time since he was born that I have asked you to do something in regards to him and you have turned me down.  You would do anything for him.  You are quite the protector of him too.  Always making sure he is safe.  It is so obvious that you love everything about being a big sister.

Below this was a picture, I took about a year ago of your work.  This still exemplifies our little girl.  You ask for me to help put the crown on your princess because you can't get it juuuuuuuuuust right.  You are turning out to be quite the little perfectionist.  Oh dear!

I love watching you swim.  You are such a little fish.  You are already talking about swimming this summer and how you can't wait.  Just the other day you told me, "Mommy, I can't wait until the peaches start to grow and then we can go swimming and all my swimming friends can come over to swim!"  Me too!  It will be here before we know it!

You love all things princess and girlie.  This year was your first time going to Disneyland.  Oh my....You have definitely figured out the joy this place can bring.  Heaven on earth!  The last time we went you told me, "Mommy, I wish we could have Disneyland in our HOME!"

You do not like to be dirty.  No thank you!  Now a sandbox you can enjoy, but paint on your hands or anything further, you are not a fan of.  We recently went to a party and when most of the kids were covered in the science project fun within the first couple of minutes, you came to me at the very end of the party and almost cried when you had 3 drops of the white mud on your toes.  Oh dear.
You are so animated.  You love to perform.  To dance.  To sing.  You LOVE to stand up on any stage or even to create your own stage to perform your "talents." You sure make me laugh sweet girl.
You can make your brother laugh more than anyone.  He giggles so good when you even come near.  You two play so adorably together.  You chase each other around the house, just giggling away.  I hope that continues forever.  :)

You LOVE to color and read.  I often come to check on you because it is WAY too quiet and you are just reading away.  It melts my heart.

Although year 3 to 4 brought on many challenges as far as discipline and figuring out what works and what doesn't, those moments fade away as I think about your sweet heart, your zest for life and your love for family and friends.  You are my sunshine every day.
I still can't believe how quickly we went from this....
to this.  Happy 4th birthday sweet girl.  You brighten our every day.  We love you to the moon and back!!
