Summer has come...

and now it is just about gone.
Tomorrow Aubrey Rose starts Kindergarten!!
I am so excited for her.
Summer sure has been good to us.
We are sad to see it go,
but we sure are thankful for all the
wonderful memories with friends and family.
Our little boy became a really good swimmer...
and our little girl became more and more of a favorite sister.

It sure is fun...

to have a girl.
Tea party and pedicures simultaneously by Aubrey Rose.
I love these moments.

As I soak up the memories, I also learn something about my little girl.
I am pretty sure I have a perfectionist on my hands.
As she was painting my toes, she completed one foot,
then immediately removed all the polish.
She started over.
Painting, then cleaning up the edges.
Painting some more.
Then, cleaning some more.
Each toe she was getting more impatient or frustrated.
She completed the same foot for the second time,
then told me,
"I think you should just finish it."

Hang in there sunshine,
a verse comes to mind....
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Sports camp

This was the second year Aubrey Rose has been in a summer sports camp.  They work on tennis, golf, yoga/exercise/gym time, then lunch and swimming.  She loved it last year, so it was fun for her to return and know a little of what to expect.  This time was extra fun because she had friends who joined.  Sweet friends of ours had their 2 little girls at the camp as well.

The last day they had crazy Disney day.
While Aubrey Rose was busy, I loved the extra one on one time with this little boy.
He sure is my favorite little boy.

Buddies...

Austin and Jed are 3 months apart by age.
When they are together they act like twins.
Inseparable.
Definitely at times a love, hate relationship,
but they are the very best of buddies.

These boys crack me up.
They melt my heart.
They make me smile and laugh.
God sure knew what he was doing when he created them to be so close in age.
Such a wonderful blessing.
(Thanks Auntie Allie for all these pics!!!)

Her first peach

Aubrey LOVES to color.  She usually draws friends or family or rainbows or shapes.
This day she drew her first peach.
And then she drew our peach family.  :)

Family weekend

Last weekend we piled all the family in the car and we went to Danville CA for a family reunion on Blake's moms side of the family.  It was a fun family filled weekend that was such a welcomed treat during the craziness that peach season brings.  It was definitely a treat to slip away for enough hours to come home refreshed.

Blake (in the middle) with his brother and sister

 Uncle Brad showing off ;)

The family reunion went great.  Small group but we enjoyed playing some games and connecting with family we had not seen or talked to in a long time or ever!  HA!
That night we got to enjoy a Giants vs. Cubs game in San Francisco.  We took Bart in and a train to get to the stadium.  We had a great time.  We had to run, speed and sweat just to wait for Bart.  HA!  At least we didn't miss it!!

Brad's friend, Christina, came with us for the weekend and even though she sported her Cubs gear we still had a great time together.  ;)  Thanks for joining in the fun this weekend Christina!
We arrived early enough to get a free beanie!

It was Aubrey and Austin's first major league baseball game and so they received an official document to remember.  :)
Aubrey Rose is quite the girly girl.  She loves any kind of jewelry and she has quite the opinion on clothes.  She is a HUGE fan of ANYTHING princess, but with all the girly girl passions she has never really got hooked on carrying a doll and pretending like it is her baby.  This weekend was a different story.  Rapunzel went everywhere.  She was quite concerned if we had to leave her anywhere.
I love this little girls heart.  She saw these dresses and thought they would be so cute on baby Riley (her cousin) and she wanted to have matching dresses for her and Riley.
These kids had a wonderful weekend!
Thank you Bill and Linda, for the being the best Mimi and Big Papa EVER.  We are so very thankful for you, for how wonderful you are to us and to our kids.  Thank you for such a wonderful weekend!

Family pictures in the peach orchards

Taking pictures in the peach orchards each year has become a wonderful tradition for us that started when Aubrey Rose experienced her first peach season.
 (These pictures are from 2008)
Fast forward to this year...2013.
We are so very thankful for where God has us...
and how cute our kids are.  :)

Oh this little boy,
melts my heart.
And seeing these two together,
melts my heart even MORE.
And then these two little ones together,
make me melt in a whole different "puddle on the floor" way.
Especially when they are smiling and oh so happy.

After all those pictures in the hot summer weather and sitting on the fuzzy, itchy peaches, what else is there to do, but go skinny dipping!
We didn't bring the kids' swimsuits, so this worked!
The kids thought it was pretty funny.
