Missing, yet enjoying...

Today we are missing two things...
Oma (and Opa) as they are away in Canada.
and also the preschool routine of walking to school in the morning.
These pics were taken the last day of Aubrey's school.

But, we are enjoying the extra time together.
Just the three of us...

Aubrey Rose graduated!

It is fun and also weird at the same time to watch a season of our lives turn a big page.  For the past two years Aubrey Rose has been going to a preschool just down the street from our home for a couple of mornings a week.  Aubrey's school also shares a parking lot with Daddy's work.  It has been such a special time for our family.  We have had a wonderful experience.
Aubrey Rose has grown up so much since that day we started preschool two years ago.

I am going to miss so much about it.  Her teachers have been so incredible for our little girl.  They have helped shape her in ways we have been so very thankful for.
Leading up to graduation, I asked Aubrey Rose if she was sad she was graduating.
She said, "No, I am happy Mom!!"
When she told me she was happy, my first thought was, "Thank you Lord."  Thank you for the sweet reminder that this is something to enjoy, so I choose to be so happy with her, even if my mommy heart wonders where the time has gone.

Aubrey Rose is so anxious and excited to start Kindergarten this fall.
She is all signed up and registered to be a Century Tiger.
She can't wait to be in Kindergarten.
I just pray her experience, and our experience, is as wonderful as her preschool years have been.
Congratulations, Aubrey Rose!!!  WE are so proud of you!!

Aubrey is graduating!

Tonight is Aubrey Rose's graduation from preschool.  We have loved her little preschool.  Tonight her class will be singing some songs up on stage.  I asked her how many songs and she said, "I have no idea how many, but A LOOOOT!"  We are looking forward to it!!

The month of May

May brought some fun relaxed memories.
We still enjoy our walks to drop sissy off at school.
Sometimes it is just the kids and I,
other times it feels like a mini party!
Those are our favorite times!
The month of May brought sweet family time...
with the Smittcamps,
and the Penner's...
(More on the family trip to Alameda is on Allie's blog HERE.)
Some work at home...
More work at home.
A broken sprinkler leads to this...muddy fun!
Our sweet friend Brooke visited for a week.  So thankful for her!
We got a cute pic of Austin with his favorite Opa
and his favorite cousin Jedidiah at the park.
Mother's Day fun...

And some good ole frosting fun making cupcakes for...
one of our favorite girls, Julie.
Aubrey Rose loves to find new friends in our yard. ;)
Her worm she named Muddy.
She named her frog Swimmy.
Her caterpillar thing (I don't even know what this was!) was named Hairy.
Her grasshopper was named Amber.
(The name Amber through us off a little bit.
It was the first normal name she gave one of her friends.  HA!)
And we managed to fit in a little bit of play as well...
June has come too quick.  We are looking forward to all the swim fun ahead, with not much scheduled.  :)  Well, besides peach season of course!  As much as we love peaches, it also brings a very busy season for Blake.  Time to gear up for it!  It is almost here!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is a picture of our kiddos last year, Valentine's 2012.
My, how they have changed!!  The days often feel long, but the years feel short!
Here is this year in 2013...
silly Austin  :)
I got to enjoy the afternoon with Aubreys preschool class.  I think she told me a dozen times how thankful she was that I got to come to her Valentines day party.  She is pretty great.
We absolutely LOVE Miss Elia.  She is so good to our little girl.
And our girl adores her.
 5 years old
After preschool, Aubrey went and helped Oma make heart shaped cakes to decorate.

Aubrey's Christmas performance

Aubrey had been practicing at home every day for weeks.
Singing the songs over and over again.
Practicing the hand motions and the dance moves.
The night finally came and she was sooooo excited!
The Christmas play was adorable!
Preschoolers are the cutest thing.
She was definitely my favorite Christmas tree.  :)

We had quite the fan club that night.

Thank you to all our wonderful family and friends
who were able to love on our girl at her Christmas play.
Aubrey sure felt loved by you coming and so did we!!
