Yeah!!!! More BABIES!!!

Oh I love hearing about more babies coming into the world! It is the most precious, life changing, beautiful blessing God has created. This week we were thrilled to hear about two new babies. Tonight we had a girls night at BJ's Pizza and Grill. It was so fun to hear that Megan is finally pregnant! We wondered if she would always be the World's Best Auntie or someday be the World's Best Auntie and Mommy!!! We can't wait to meet Baby Alfaro!

AND we got to talk to our wonderful friends Chris and Erica this week and heard their exciting news too! Those sneaky friends sent an email that said the FOUR of us are moving and included a picture of them...Chris, Erica and their adorable dog Faye. I had to count a couple of times just to make sure I was counting right. We are thrilled for Chris and Erica! I think the only thing that would make it better is if they moved back to Fresno. I think our Clovis schools will bring them eventually!! Oh yeah and us and all of our friends too!!

Party weekend!

We had such a wonderful weekend and yet again it came to an end way too quickly. Saturday we went to a birthday party for Aubrey Rose's friend Gabi...okay we PRAY that they will be best of friends when they grow up because we LOVE her parents, Ryan and Kari. Gabi just turned one! It was such a fun party. Ryan and Kari, thank you so much for sharing this your special memory with us. It was a joy to be apart of the fun!

The daddy's lifted Logan and Aubrey to watch Gabi eat her birthday cake. It was such a cute moment. :-) Blake and Travis are the best daddy's!


Saturday night we had house guests! I LOVE having house guests! Our wonderful friends Tommy and Janay stayed with us after her sisters' wedding. They have the cutest little boy. Brady is one month younger than Aubrey Rose. And for some reason my photogenic little girl was awestruck during our photo shoot. She would not take her eyes off of him. I don't blame her. Look at his eyes!! We looooove our little bald babies. :-)







Then Sunday, I got to enjoy a baby shower for Ashley Patricio. Soooo beautiful! It has been such a blessing being apart of Garrett and Ashley's life over the past almost three years. We are thrilled to be apart of baby Peyton's life too. We admire you both so much as parents and we have been so blessed by you and sweet Taylor Lynne. We can't wait to be apart of watching your family continue to blossom even more with little Peyton. And another girlfriend for Aubrey Rose!!! We looooove it!!

I love my girlie girl!

I absolutely love having a little girl! Aubrey Rose is officially walking, which adds to her ability to get into everything. One area that can entertain her for a long time is my jewelry and drawers in our bathroom. She is definitely a drawer and cupboard girl. She loves to open and close anything she can get her hands on. She loves to take every piece of jewelry out and scatter them all over the floor. She often holds a beady bracelet in one hand while the other hand does the rest of the work often breaking to wave to me or to look at me and smile. I love my little girlie girl!

Skiing and Super Bowl in Park City

We went to Park City, Utah this past weekend with Blake's family. We had a WONDERFUL time skiing, laughing, catching up, shopping, skiing more, eating yummy food, and of course watching the entertaining Super Bowl game.
This picture below was from our first evening. We sure missed Blair (Blake's sister) and our sweet Aubrey Rose! Aubrey stayed with my parents. Thank you so much Mom and Dad for taking such good care of our little girl. And a HUGE thank you to my wonderful siblings, Auntie Christy, Uncle Aaron, Uncle Jesse and Auntie Allie for also watching Aubrey Rose while we were off having a great time.

We definitely did some shopping while in Park City. We decided Bill needed some designer jeans so we had him try on some William Rast jeans. He couldn't understand why anyone would want to wear jeans so low on their waist. We laughed so hard when he would pull them up to where he wanted them to be. Great memories! In the end, we didn't find any Bill liked but we are not going to give up on you Bill! :-)

We had a refreshing time away. It was one of those weekends that was just such a joy. No worries, no stress, no drama...just a wonderful time with family. We skiied three full days. Needless to say, my legs hurt going up the stairs when I got home. But, oh, it felt good to be home!!! Thanks Bill and Linda for such a enjoyable weekend!

packing....unpacking...packing again!

So that is how I have felt lately with our days. Packing...unpacking...packing again. At least this next trip Blake and I get to go together! Between Blake and I going to Chile, Canada, Carmel and now Park City in the last 2 1/2 weeks, it has been quite a busy new year already. We are looking forward to some wonderful family time with Blake's parents and brother and hopefully we will get in some wonderful skiing. Have a good weekend!!

Freezing cold Canada

Aubrey Rose and I were blessed by another trip to Canada. Yes, Aubrey is 10 months old and she has experienced Hawaii already, Canada twice and so many places in between. My grandfather passed away after living a wonderful life following Christ. So it was time for another sweet visit. Here are some of our memories as well as the beautiful scenery Canada in the snow has to offer....and by the way, I DO NOT need to go back any time soon to that weather. It was absolutely ridiculous!! It was beyond FREEZING!!!

Below is my mom's house that she grew up in. There were 7 kids in her family!! My parents shared their first kiss on this driveway as my dad was taking her home after their date.



This is my dad's house that he grew up in on Irvine Road. I have heard many, many wonderful stories from this house, this barn and this street. Thanks Dad for sharing!

Below is my dad's elementary school. So cute!! It is now a personal residence but I LOVE how the people have kept the sign on the outside that reads McNab Public School. I have heard awesome stories from this school as well!

Here is my dad's side of the family. There were 6 siblings in the family and this is most of the family members from all six of them.


This is how bundled up poor Aubrey Rose had to get everytime we stepped foot outside. I thought she smiled for every picture until she was wearing this! She hated that thing!! For some reason no matter what I did, I just could not get a picture of her smiling in this bunting bag. Yeah, why do they call it a bunting bag anyway???!!!

Chelsey (my cousin) and Aubrey Rose have such a special bond. I LOOOOOOVE seeing them together. Chelsey gets the giggles around her and Aubrey just loves to do just about anything with her.

Oma with Aubrey Rose. This is my mom's mom. Oma loved to be with Aubrey. And Aubrey loved playing in Oma's apartment. She loved opening her cupboards, baking buns with her, pulling the phone cord and even eating her toys that Oma had for her. Thank you Oma for being so sweet not only to us, but to Aubrey Rose as well!
