Peach workin' days!

We are in the thick of peach season over here.  We are workin', thinkin' and definitely eatin' peaches pretty much every day, all day over here.
Some days the best way to see daddy (and Big Papa) is to go to visit him at work!
Thank you Brian and Kristi for the cool sunglasses!

First day!

Today Aubrey Rose started pre-K school.  Oh boy, was Aubrey Rose excited this morning!!  (And I am not exaggerating at all.)  She was jumping up and down, skipping where she went and smiling the biggest smile.  She was so excited to see her friends, to see her last years teacher and to go back to school!  Here we are this morning before we walked to school.
Our favorite part of our walk is when we get to walk through our peach orchards and check on our peaches.  We love it!
Then, we dropped Aubrey off at school.  Here she is posing in front of the school's sign.  Oh that girl.  ;)
It was so fun when she came home to hear about the fun she had and about friends she missed.  She said her favorite part was when her teacher let them play outside.  She said outside she "got to play and go wherever she wanted to go."
Then Aubrey Rose came home to her new cousin Riley
and the boys playing outside.  What a wonderful day and a great way to start out a new school year!

Their Sweet Shoppe...

Sometimes we just have to switch things up in our house.
It always surprises and entertains me how
if we simply move toys from
upstairs to downstairs,
or even from room to room,
it is as if we they have never played with the toys before.
I love it!
The kids love it!
Hours of entertainment.
Perfect solution for us all.  :)

Welcome to...
Austin and Aubrey's Sweet Shoppe.

Sorry for the lovely, dark Iphone pics.  :)
We had customers,
real human ones as well as,
stuffed animal friends.
We collected all of our desserts and sweets from our kitchen.
Aubrey was the first customer,
but after that she took over as the owner.
She was in her own little heaven.
After hours of playing in their Sweet Shoppe,
(very well together I might add)
I noticed Aubrey erasing the top left writing that she had done on our sign.
I asked her what she was doing.
She said she "was erasing Austin's name.  He wasn't playing right anymore.
He is throwing all the sweets and drinks all over."

Ah, yes... just one of the many reasons I love them having a sibling to play with.
Oh, the lessons we learn together.  :)
So even though at the end of the day,
Aubrey only wanted the Sweet Shoppe to be hers,
it was well worth the fun of switching things up a little.

Our girl and our boy...

Even though at times these two don't see eye to eye, they also adore each other and they share a bond that is so adorable to watch.  Aubrey calls him her "BEST brother in the whole entire world."
It is so cute watching Austin want to do everything "Sizzzy" is doing.

Sissy even taught him the word "No."  Wasn't that so sweet of her?!!  And guess what Austin's new favorite word is??  You got it!  Every other word from Austin now is "NOOOO." We are quickly trying to expand his vocabulary.  :)

I can't get enough of our girl and our boy together.

My new niece!!

I have new niece! She is the most precious, sweetest little thing! Riley, I can't wait for all the memories we get to share together. You are such a blessed little girl for the little family God chose for you to be apart of. It was so fun holding this little bundle of joy at only four hours old.  Riley, I can't wait for Aubrey Rose to meet you and play with you as the years fly by.  Now we have two little girls in the family!  We love you sweet girl!

Girly things...

Yesterday I posted about some of Austin's favorite things! Tractors!  Today is about some of Aubrey's favorite things.  Weddings, tea parties, coloring, and picnics...
Aubrey Rose loves to play "wedding."  She asks Oma if she can try on the wedding dress.  (Her "wedding dress" is actually my flower girl dress from my Aunt Rose's wedding.)  On this day she talked my mom into trying on HER wedding dress too!!!
So we had a little wedding together!  Opa and Oma got married again and here is their flower girl.  Umm, it was the cutest thing ever.  :)
Aubrey also LOVES to have tea parties.
and her coloring is getting better and better!
On this day she had a "picnic" with her "friends" while she read the bible to them.  Melted my heart!

And while girls will be girls, boys will be boys (way in the background) playing in the water and making messes.  :)
God is so amazing how he created us all.

Tractor fun!

Before Austin was born I would notice big trucks and tractors, but I never really paid much attention to them.  Now, I can't drive anywhere without hearing "vrooooom, vroooom" or "beeeeeeeeep, beeeeeeeeep" or "OOOOOOOOOOO" for EVERY big truck or tractor we see.
When Big Papa called us about a caterpillar tractor we were using for some of our acreage, we knew Austin needed to see it too.  :)  As I was driving, not really knowing where the tractor would be, it was that little boy who started going crazy in the back seat, "OOOOOOOOO, OOOOOOOOOOOO, OOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"  Sure enough, he showed me exactly where we were supposed to be.  :)
However, when we got all the way up to the tractor, I think it was a LITTLE bit bigger than he expected.  He did not want to go near!! So, we first got a picture with just Daddy and sissy.  Then, Austin quickly relaxed and enjoyed himself.
Tractors are not just for boys.  Aubrey Rose of course loved this too, but the extreme excitement that this boy experiences with almost every passing automobile is something I am starting to understand....boys sure are different than little girls!  :)
