Missing, yet enjoying...

Today we are missing two things...
Oma (and Opa) as they are away in Canada.
and also the preschool routine of walking to school in the morning.
These pics were taken the last day of Aubrey's school.

But, we are enjoying the extra time together.
Just the three of us...

More Father's Day fun...

We got to celebrate Father's Day a couple of times this year.  We did a fun night of bowling (that I mentioned HERE).  We also had a relaxing evening swimming at my brother's house and even some river rafting!

My dad and I...
He is FOR SURE the best dad I could have ever dreamt of or prayed for.
LOVE him!
We enjoyed the evening chatting and spoiling him with a few gifts.
Then, the little kids had fun swimming together.

Then, with Blake's family, the Father's Day fun was river rafting.
Let's just say Monday came way too soon.  Great weekend, but a busy one!!

Father's Day fun!

To celebrate Father's Day we went bowling!  This is one of Pop Pop's (Blake's grandpa) favorite pastimes.  We all had a great time and we only forgot to keep an eye on Austin a couple of times since we were so distracted by all of our phenomenal bowling skills.  ;)  HA!!  (He may or may not have one time made his way almost to the arcade room by the time we noticed.)

Blake's brother Brad and Big Papa helping line it up for Austin.
Christina (Bradley's sweet friend), Blair (Blake's sister), myself and my wonderful cousin Chelsey

PopPop is adorable with the kids.  It absolutely melts my heart.

Happy Father's Day!

Birthdays in Vegas!

Earlier this month, we had quite a special weekend with Blake's family.  We got to celebrate Blake's mom and his brother's birthdays in Las Vegas.
We did a little bit of everything....
We enjoyed sweet family time.  Catching up with each other.  Sightseeing.  Yummy food.

Fancy meals.  Some gambling.  Even a little bit of fishing gambling.  ;)  HA!!  Fun shopping.  Lots of walking.  More fun sightseeing.
This was Chelsey and Alan's first time EVER in Vegas, which made it even more fun.
Oh, and Gigi's cupcakes.  YUM!!!
We even did ziplining in downtown Vegas, (which happened to coordinate perfectly with seeing the Miss USA contestants).
Yummy restaurant at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.  LOVED that hotel!  Soooo pretty inside.

Chelsey's only request was to see the fountains at Bellagio.
Check it off the list. :) So fun.
I love walking thru the Bellagio!
Needed a pick me up after the sun and walking we did...
Our favorite night we had dinner at a yummy, fancy restaurant and then we got to watch a phenomenal MJ show.
My favorite cousin, Chelsey and myself
(Don't tell my other cousins I said that.  HA!)
Blake's sister, Blair and her boyfriend Alan.
A huge highlight was being able to go to the Michael Jackson show that is held in the Mandalay Bay hotel.  It was phenomenal!!!  We absolutely loved it.
It.was.AMAZING!
This pic below HAD to make the post.  My sweet cousin LIVES in her Rainbow flip flops.  Every day and all day if she can.  She said this was her first trip EVER not even bringing them.  HA!  So to have worn these heels until 3:30 in the morning...she deserves some major love for it.  YOU go Chelsey!!!  :)
For our last day we did a little shopping with the family and then headed to the airport.
And yes we finished off the Gigi cupcakes in the airport.  HA!!!  I know right?!  I was totally in on the action too, but I had to document this important moment.  :)
And we loved coming home to these smiles.  Austin loved his new hat Mimi and Big Papa got for him. And of course Sissy wanted to give it a try too.  ;)  We missed them!

Aubrey Rose graduated!

It is fun and also weird at the same time to watch a season of our lives turn a big page.  For the past two years Aubrey Rose has been going to a preschool just down the street from our home for a couple of mornings a week.  Aubrey's school also shares a parking lot with Daddy's work.  It has been such a special time for our family.  We have had a wonderful experience.
Aubrey Rose has grown up so much since that day we started preschool two years ago.

I am going to miss so much about it.  Her teachers have been so incredible for our little girl.  They have helped shape her in ways we have been so very thankful for.
Leading up to graduation, I asked Aubrey Rose if she was sad she was graduating.
She said, "No, I am happy Mom!!"
When she told me she was happy, my first thought was, "Thank you Lord."  Thank you for the sweet reminder that this is something to enjoy, so I choose to be so happy with her, even if my mommy heart wonders where the time has gone.
Auntie Blair and Aubrey Rose

Aubrey Rose is so anxious and excited to start Kindergarten this fall.
She is all signed up and registered to be a Century Tiger.
She can't wait to be in Kindergarten.
I just pray her experience, and our experience, is as wonderful as her preschool years have been.
Congratulations, Aubrey Rose!!!  WE are so proud of you!!

PINC party

One of my favorite nights this summer was the PINC party.  It was a night spent with family and friends and friends who feel like family.  We had such a great time supporting such a wonderful cause. (And we probably stayed out way too late!!  HA!)
Hanging out with Blake's wild family  :)
