Let's dance!

This last week Aubrey Rose started a Tumble class at Break The Barriers. As the class started, she was pretty reserved and quiet (which is soooo not her). By the end of the class, she was completely herself and loving every jump, every flip, every move they had her do. When class was done, she cried. She was soooooooo sad it was over! We called Blake to tell him how much fun she had and all she could get out was, "Daddy, DANCE CLASS IS ALLLLLLL OVER!!!" Waaaaaaaaaahhhhh! I guess at 3 it is hard to understand the idea that you get to come back next week. :)

Here she is in her adorable leotard Mimi bought her!
Thank you Mimi for taking me to dance class!!!

No baby yet...

Yesterday was the baby's due date. Aubrey Rose came 2 days early. Baby #2 is now one day late and hopefully counting.
Blake left this morning for San Francisco. He has his biggest convention of the year starting today. The day we heard the due date of this baby, we could not believe that it was the exact same day as when Blake would be leaving for his show. We thought..."No big deal. Aubrey came 2 days early. We will have the baby even earlier, Blake will be gone a couple of days and then back to normal life." Yet, here we baby yet, after the due date and Blake is away for work. God's timing is mind-boggling at times.

And as if that is not mind-boggling enough, there are other things that have come into play with God's timing in this sweet baby's arrival:
  1. Blake's convention (in SF) is until Wednesday.
  2. Blake's parents, sister and brother are in San Francisco as well for the convention.
  3. My parents are in Pismo. Aubrey Rose is with them. They were so sweet to take her with them, so I can lay low.
  4. My sister and brother-in-law are in Tahoe. (Yesterday was Aaron's birthday!)

Our prayer is that this baby can wait until at least Wednesday. Today is Sunday. My job is to lay low, pretty much do nothing, so that labor does not start. But, we all know babies come on their timing, not always ours. So, we will continue to pray, and praise the Lord for cell phones. :)

God has truly blessed me with His peace, knowing His timing will be perfect. We knew a long time ago there were all of these variables that were coming right around the baby's due date, yet God has continually calmed me knowing His plan will be perfect. We just have to trust Him.

A look back...

Just because I enjoy being reminded of God's sweet blessings and where He has brought us today, here is a look back at some other Valentine's Days...
Aubrey Rose was 11 months old on her 1st Valentine's Day.
A year later....2010
Same year...2010...wearing the same tutu
here in 2011.
Just in case you don't believe me that this is the same girl, check out her scrunchy nose smile...
in 2010
Same girl. Same smile. Just a little taller in 2011.
And then just to keep it real and for your viewing pleasure....a couple of bloopers from our photoshoot that made me smile.

Psalm 107:1
"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!"

K is for Kite

Valentine's Day is tomorrow! I think I have had my Valentine decor up since before New Year's, but I am finally getting a chance to post some of it.
The heart on our mantle with our initials, was one of my first Valentine's gifts from Blake. He made it for me. I absolutely LOVE it!

Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow everyone!!

Nothing yet...

We have one week to go before the due date of Baby #2. Aubrey was born two days early. It sure would be kind of this baby to be a couple of days early too. :) However, we all know even babies have a mind of their own. This last Tuesday I had a doctor appointment. He said I was dilated to a 0. Yeah nothing at all. So we wait and wait, and pray some more. It will all happen in God's sweet timing.

Christopher and Aubrey Rose

I am sure you all recognize this little boy from our Letter Days. Well, last week Christopher got to come over and hang out for a few hours and just PLAY with his friend Aubrey Rose. No set plans. No learning specific letters. Just fun play time together. They had the best time together!

At one point in the day, sweet Christopher looked at me and said..."Aunt Cherie, what letter are we going to learn today?" Oh it broke my heart! I felt like I should pull something out of a bag of tricks, but I had nothing! :)

One of their favorite parts was going to the park....
and playing.
They loved copying each other of what the other was doing. It was so cute.
Then, a little work out...
and a snack before heading home.
We loved having Christopher over to play with us!
