The Star

Even though the last few posts have been focused on Aubrey Rose at Disneyland. Let's get real...she is NOT the only one around! This little boy has stolen all of our hearts!
His smiles just get better and better.
He is rolling from his back to his tummy.
He is drooling like crazy.
Spitting up more than I remember Aubrey Rose to, but oh well. :)
He decided again that he enjoys waking up in the middle of the night.
We are definitely working on changing that habit. :)
He loves his bumbo chair.
He loves watching and laughing at sissy.
And then his giggle. Oh my. He has my heart. Completely.

And I can't get enough of all this hair and this bib. HA!! (Thanks Jess!)

Her favorite things about Disneyland

Aubrey Rose LOVED so much about Disneyland.
She loved seeing the Castle.
She loved the rides at Disneyland.
She loved the parade. (Even though she missed some of it since she had to go to the restroom. Perfect timing, right?!!)
She also loved seeing the Disney characters.
Key word: SEEING
She was so excited to see the characters, then she would meet them and she got as shy as I have ever seen her. Speechless. Absolutely speechless.

Her first character she saw was Minnie Mouse. When she turned that corner at ToonTown and saw her across the way...

she started SPRINTING...and yelling, "MINNNNNNIEEE!!!!"
Then, she got to her and she froze. Absolutely froze.
Good thing Minnie is so great. She got a big hug from her!

And Austin got some love too.

We also met Mickey...

Pluto...

Goofy...

Donald Duck...Chip...
and Dale

Mr. Incredible... Winnie the Pooh (The line was too long for us to wait. This was as good as it got! HA!)
Alice wrote, "To the girl with the sparkly bow."

Aladdin

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!!

Tinkerbell

She loved seeing all the characters, BUT her favorite part BY FAR were the princesses.

If you ask her what was her favorite thing about Disneyland, I am pretty sure she would answer "The princesses."

She met Ariel...

Sleeping Beauty...

Snow White...

Cinderella...
and Belle.

She was absolutely beaming in excitement!

She got all of their signatures.

She loved her Disney autograph book so much... she even fell asleep with it in her hands.

The look

Oh my little girl, she can give you a look let me tell you. And sometimes it is hard not to laugh. I asked her to smile and this is what she gave me. The best part was how long she held it! HA!

Some Disneyland FIRSTS!!

AUBREY'S FIRST TIME to Disneyland! Mickey and his gang had heard she was coming so they included some autographed pictures. So cute! Austin's FIRST mohawk
Aubrey Rose's FIRST car she drove...can you tell she was beaming?!! :)
Our first DOUBLE stroller experience...LOVE that thing! FIRST bureau hat FIRST high chair! HA!!! Didn't last long!
FIRST Shirley Temple drink. She said, "This is yummmmmmmy!!!" Yeah, no kidding right?! HA!! She sure is lucky her Mimi and Big Papa love her sooooo much! FIRST Minnie ears...of course they had to be PINK!
FIRST character she saw. Her reaction when she saw Minnie was probably my favorite memory of the weekend. Priceless!!! FIRST Princess she saw. Aubrey Rose was speechless! Ariel asked her if Ursula took her voice away too. HA! FIRST time we had been with someone at Disneyland for their birthday. The employees are trained to look for birthday pins that you wear. EVERY employee we came even close to would say, "Happy Birthday Linda!" It was so fun! (The hat was just for some picture fun, but you can see her birthday pin she wore.)

Disneyland sneak peek...

I am working on my Disneyland post, but while you wait patiently I thought I would give you some sneak peeks into some of our fun.

We were trying to kill some time while waiting in line for one of Aubrey Rose's favorite rides. Toy Story in California Adventure....loved it!

Oh, the expressions...

There was once a day when our little girl did NOT like getting dirty AT ALL! I mean tears if she got dirty. She still sits on the concrete or squats down (so not everything gets dirty) to play with her hands in the dirt. But, we have come a long way. When she was a baby, she did not like grass, sand, even the bubbles in the bath! So, as I watch her run in the mud and get her hands and face all muddy, I can't help but smile. But, then the expressions, make it even more entertaining!
