Bath time smiles...

Bath time was something Austin took a little while to enjoy. He was happy all day and then during bath time he would cry and cry. He just did not enjoy them. You sure would not know that today as he kicks, splashes, laughs and giggles away! We are loving bath time!

Austin and Jed's dedication

It feels like it was just yesterday we were dedicating Aubrey Rose to the Lord. This time around with Austin it was doubly special because we did a cousin dedication. My nephew Jed is 3 months older than Austin. We decided to dedicate them together. I loved it. It was so special to do it as a whole family.

We made a promise and a commitment to the Lord to raise Austin in a Godly way. We promise to pray and train him "in the ways he should go, (so) even when he is old he will not depart." Here are a few pictures from the dedication...

Two kids...same chair

All of the firsts are pretty fun. I especially enjoy it the second time around because it makes me think about Aubrey Rose's firsts too.

Here is Austin's first time trying out the Bumbo chair. He is almost 3 months!

I think he is quite the fan of his new accomplishment. This boy found his voice recently and is babbling and cooing up a storm.

His smiles though are what amaze me every day. They are quite contagious.

Seeing Austin in the bumbo chair made me remember Aubrey Rose's first time too. Aubrey Rose was 3 1/2 months here...

And almost four months here...

And just in case you were wondering, yes, I am quite aware that Austin is getting too big, too fast. Wasn't he just born???

New boots!

If you can remember back to Christmas time, Aubrey Rose got a pink umbrella for Christmas. There are still days that it randomly rains inside our house. And even though we live in California, we do sometimes have rain outside too. Well, one of those random rainy days Aubrey Rose got to use her umbrella again. This time she got to use her matching new boots Auntie Christy and Uncle Aaron bought her for her birthday!

I laughed later that night when I went into Aubrey's closet. I had asked her to get her rain boots in her closet. I guess they were hard to find. HA!!!

Happy Birthday Julie!!

Julie is a sweet, dear friend of ours from high school. Her and I played softball in high school together and then we went on to college to play together as well. Julie is as sweet as they come. LOVE her! We decided to throw her a little birthday party with our softball team. When Aubrey greeted friends at the door she said, "Welcome to Juju's party!!!"

Surprise!!

I love friends who encourage...who challenge...who hold me accountable...who are there no matter what...who love...who speak truth...who ask the tough questions. I also love friends who just feel good to be around. This is our life group. We have been getting together for 2 years now.

We got to enjoy a surprise birthday party for James, eat delicious food, be with excellent company, a round of bowling and a date night! Definitely a good, good night.

Their love is on fire. HA! The crew...love you guys!

Go Dogs!

We went out and enjoyed some Fresno State baseball with the Donnelly's. Katie is Blake's cousin. We absolutely LOVE doing life with these 3. It sometimes boggles my mind at how many activities/hobbies/interests we have in common AND we are family! LOVE it!

Early morning...

Today we had an early morning at our house. We had to be out of our house this morning by 7am. We found a bee hive and we had to get it taken care of. So we made the best of our situation. We got breakfast, ran some errands, went to the park and enjoyed Aubrey's "jungle" as she calls it. For the record Austin was with us the whole morning too, just not documented in pictures. :(

Blake had a business trip to Wisconsin a couple of days ago. He brought a couple things home...

Yesterday I mentioned a sweet dress my mom kept from when I was a little girl. Well, both of our parents kept something else that has become so special to Blake and I.

My grandfather (my mom's dad) made this cradle for me when I was a little baby...

Aubrey and Austin have now used this too! Austin is almost too big for this one already! This is where Austin and Jed sleep when they are over at my parents house. The other sweet blessing is Blake's bassinet. I say Blake, but actually it is a Smittcamp heirloom. Blake's grandparents used this for their kids too! And now Aubrey Rose and Austin have been blessed by this as well. This is where Austin has slept every night so far. Speaking of sleeping, he is definitely a sleeper! He is sleeping from 10pm to 7am. I am thinking this is some of why I get so many smiles out this little man.

He is already 10 weeks old now!
